Plz fix the repeat button

This is a great app for music but during the last few updates I have a few problems with. One main problem I have with is the repeat button not really doing it’s job much anymore because when I put repeat on a song it would repeat but when I tap on a new song I want to repeat it won’t repeat and I find it annoying. Before the updates I could easily repeat any song without pressing the repeat button every time I click on a new song and now i have to press the button over every time and it annoys me. My second problem is the repeat button is not where it used to be. The repeat button used to be near the play/pause button and now it’s not there anymore. It is now in the options section and I really don’t like that spot where I have to press like so many buttons just to repeat a song. If you fix the repeat and put it where it used to be and do what’s it supposed to do I will be so happy to listen to any song on repeat and press buttons all the time trying to repeat a song. Again great app but plz fix the repeat button.

What’s to like

Aside from the way the song selection is done or how it plays random songs during the playlist, the app is horrible. Sometimes it will get stuck on one song and you have to close the app and come back in (choosing a different playlist doesn’t matter). Or it will stop playing for no reason and you have to hit play again. Then there’s the hour or so time limit to ask you if you’d like to continue. You can’t continue from your watch or from the Lock Screen on the phone. You have to go into the app and press play. The timer even includes if you are on a call.

If you have more than 50 songs in the playlist, it will only play the same 10-15 songs and then start randomly playing other songs. Although the random isn’t really random, either of your playlist or of songs outside the playlist. When it starts to play the random songs outside the playlist, 9/10 it will start with the same song. If it isn’t that one, it is usually it starts with the second song and then it will play the first one. Beyond that, I don’t know because I never get past the one or two random songs it chooses. I just change to one of my other playlists.

The music is free with Prime within the limits, but it is a chore for sure. I doubt paying $10/mo for Unlimited would change the behavior of the app, but I’m not willing to try. I could buy lots of songs over time for $10/mo, which I need to make time for and just play songs that I own and can control.

Needs Garlic

Not a bad music app. Selection is good could be better. I’m with the others about the songs/artists “disappearing” without notice, it’s frustrating and makes me switch to a different app. I am a touch OCD so when I add a song to a named playlist and it doesn’t add into the overall library of “my music” I get frustrated. I too listen to music for 8-12 hours a day while working and commuting. Sometimes I would like to have the ability to shuffle every song in my library from all playlists, that is impossible with the current setup on the app. “My music” should be the cumulative collection of every song that has been downloaded or added to a playlist. Lastly, I should never hear the same song repeat itself day after day when in shuffle mode. Most days I will start my drive by hitting shuffle and I hear the same songs as the day before. This shouldn’t happen when I have hundreds of songs in each playlist an my music. It’s a simple program of “each song should only play once until all others have done the same” no matter how many times the app has been closed. I use the app because I can’t stand Top 40 stations; it’s like being mule kicked by a rhino. The app needs playback help, music selection is decent not great. If I had to pay for this without my prime subscription I would look elsewhere, the value is currently not there.
